- BOUNCE BACK
«Misunderstood, unloved and undeservedly fired». This was the headline of the online portal "Watson" in January 2023 on the premature termination of the contract with Christian Wohlwend in Davos.
Christian Wohlwend is a volcano, a loud, dynamic and passionate coach, who challenges his players every day until they 'perform' in such a way that they succeed. His style and success prove him right: from Bülach to Lugano and the U20 national team to the "Head Coach" of HC Davos. Wohlwend spent three to four years at the helm of all these teams, taking them from the bottom of the table to the top.

My goal is to be at the top
with my team.
- Christian Wohlwend
Christian Wohlwend is convinced that too much is said about success and defeats - but too little about the team process. How long and rocky is the road to success, or rather what does the so-called hero's journey look like in Christian Wohlwend's philosophy?
«Every hero's journey presents a challenge, which often triggers pressure to perform and stress. This can lead to conflicts and crises.»
Resilience is needed to master such situations. "You grow from these experiences and thus make the important personality developments to be a stronger role model and a better leader in the future." Christian works with four archetypes in this context: Warrior, Lover, Magician and King. So how does the coach awaken these different types in his players and build a successful team out of them?
Warrior
Courage, Focus and Intensity
Lover
Self love, passion and empathy
Magician
creative, intuitive and manifest
King
Leader, humble and challenging
